TLDR: Zoho Corporation has announced significant advancements in its AI portfolio, introducing Zia LLM, a proprietary large language model, alongside Zia Agents, a no-code agent builder (Zia Agent Studio), and an Agent Marketplace. These new offerings, including a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, are designed to enhance contextual, assistive, and agentic AI technology for businesses, aiming to improve operational and financial efficiencies.
Zoho Corporation, a global technology leader, has made substantial new investments and offerings in the realm of artificial intelligence, highlighted by the launch of Zia LLM, its own large language model. This strategic move is complemented by the introduction of Zia Agents, a collection of over 25 ready-to-deploy AI-powered agents accessible through an Agent Marketplace, and Zia Agent Studio, a no-code platform for building custom AI agents. Furthermore, Zoho is rolling out a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which will enable third-party agents to leverage Zoho’s extensive library of actions.
These comprehensive AI capabilities are engineered to empower organizations in fully realizing and maximizing the value of contextual, assistive, and agentic AI technology. The immediate impact is expected on daily workflows across diverse roles and use cases, promising to deliver significant operational and financial efficiencies throughout entire organizations.
Zia LLM, built entirely in-house, leverages NVIDIA’s AI accelerated computing platform. It has been specifically trained with Zoho product use cases in mind, encompassing tasks such as structured data extraction, summarization, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and code generation. The LLM comprises three distinct models with 1.3 billion, 2.6 billion, and 7 billion parameters, each optimized for contextual applicability and benchmarking competitively against comparable open-source models.
Gibu Mathew, VP and GM of Zoho APAC, emphasized the company’s commitment to data protection and comprehensive capabilities, stating, “Zia LLM is a unique Enterprise LLM, this investment furthers Zoho’s longstanding aim to build foundational technology focused on protection of customer data, breadth and depth of capabilities, and value.” He added that Zoho’s internal development of AI initiatives ensures cutting-edge toolsets without compromising data privacy or organizational flexibility, thereby democratizing advanced technology globally. Mathew also highlighted the critical need for data integration at a DNA level for businesses utilizing AI, a vision integral to the Zoho platform’s design.
The Zia Agent Studio is now fully prompt-based, allowing users to build agents that can be deployed autonomously, triggered by button clicks or rule-based automation, or summoned within customer conversations. These agents are designed for various business activities, handling relevant actions based on real-life organizational roles, including sales development, customer support, and account management.
