Yealink and Microsoft Mark a Decade of Partnership with Advanced AI Meeting Solutions

TLDR: Yealink and Microsoft are celebrating 10 years of collaboration, focusing on next-generation AI-powered meeting solutions. Their partnership has evolved from SIP phones to intelligent cameras and room systems, integrating features like multi-stream video, speaker tracking, real-time noise suppression, and IntelliFrame. This collaboration aims to create a seamless, intelligent, and inclusive AI-powered workplace.

Yealink and Microsoft are commemorating a decade of strategic partnership, a journey that has significantly transformed the landscape of unified communications and collaboration. This long-standing alliance, which began with the evolution of Yealink’s SIP phones into Microsoft Teams phones, has expanded to encompass a comprehensive suite of meeting room boards, intelligent cameras, and advanced Teams Room solutions.

The core of this enduring collaboration is built on a shared vision for innovation and the future of work. A key milestone in their joint efforts was Yealink becoming the first vendor to bring Microsoft Teams’ IntelliFrame feature to market, revolutionizing the meeting experience by intelligently framing participants.

Ilya Bukshteyn, corporate vice president, Microsoft Teams calling, devices and premium experiences at Microsoft, highlighted the impact of this partnership, stating, “Today we are living through an amazing time where not only are we continuing the journey of flexible work, but we’re seeing AI on top of that really touch every aspect of how we work together.” This sentiment underscores the deep integration of AI into their latest offerings.

Yealink’s commitment to Microsoft’s Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) has been pivotal. MDEP, Microsoft’s initiative to maintain a consistent Android platform across all Teams devices, ensures easier deployment, management, and a cohesive user experience. Dawson Cai, VP of Product at Yealink, affirmed, “MDEP enables us to innovate safer and offer more consistent user experiences across our Teams-certified devices.”

In 2025, Yealink has introduced a range of new AI-powered devices certified for Microsoft Teams, catering to various meeting environments from small huddle rooms to large conference areas. These devices boast next-generation capabilities such as multi-stream video, precise speaker tracking, and advanced real-time noise suppression. A notable addition is the new MVC S98 system, which enhances Teams Rooms with AI-powered framing and provides administrators with deeper insights into workplace activities, leading to a more streamlined and intelligent collaboration experience.

Looking ahead, both companies envision an expansion of their partnership beyond traditional meeting rooms. Bukshteyn anticipates that their collaboration will extend into other areas of the office, fostering an ‘AI-powered workplace with seamless communication and collaboration.’ Albert Kooiman, senior director, Microsoft Partner, echoed this forward-looking perspective, stating, “After 10 years, we are really leading the way together in the transformation of how we are communicating. We are now entering into the next era — the next 10 years.”
