TLDR: Rifa AI, a voice automation technology startup, has successfully secured $1.1 million in pre-seed funding. This capital infusion will support Rifa AI’s expansion into North America and further development of its AI-powered enterprise call center platform, focusing on compliant voice solutions for regulated industries.

Rifa AI, an innovative startup specializing in voice automation technology, announced today it has successfully closed a pre-seed funding round, raising $1.1 million. The investment was spearheaded by Seaborne Capital, with significant contributions from NASSCOM and FalconX. This strategic funding is earmarked to fuel Rifa AI’s growth, particularly its expansion of operations in North America, and to continue the development of its cutting-edge AI-powered enterprise call center platform.

Established in 2023 by IIT-Bombay graduates Sameer Fulzele and Shubham Khoker, Rifa AI is dedicated to building advanced voice agents designed to mimic human speech, thereby enabling enterprises to automate their customer service processes efficiently. The company’s solutions are engineered to be modular, scalable, and, crucially, regulatory compliant, catering to highly regulated sectors such as insurance, healthcare, and financial services.

Rifa AI’s technology leverages advanced AI models, structured decision trees, policy-based workflows, and seamless API integrations. This allows their voice agents to autonomously manage complex customer conversations in real-time, while rigorously maintaining data integrity and security. The platform is built to meet stringent legal industry compliance standards, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).

Sameer Fulzele, co-founder of Rifa AI, emphasized the company’s foundational approach, stating, “We’ve built for complexity from day one, and this funding will help extend our platform to more enterprise customers. Our focus is on scaling voice workflows in sectors where human involvement has traditionally been essential due to compliance challenges. As AI agents become mainstream, the real question is whether they work where it matters most in high-stakes environments.”
