Vivo has officially introduced its latest premium smartphone, the Vivo V60 5G, to the Indian market on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Positioned as a significant upgrade and successor to the Vivo V50, the new device emphasizes enhanced performance, superior camera capabilities, extended battery life, and a remarkably bright display. The V60 5G is set to go on sale starting August 19, 2025, across Vivo India’s official e-store, major e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon, and select offline retail outlets.
At the heart of the Vivo V60 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which promises up to 27% better performance compared to its predecessor, ensuring smooth multitasking and high-performance gaming. The device runs on Android 15, layered with Vivo’s FuntouchOS 15, and is committed to long-term support with six years of security updates and four major OS upgrades.
One of the standout features is the Zeiss-engineered triple camera system. It comprises a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto lens offering 10x zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 50MP camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, complemented by Vivo’s Aura Light system for improved low-light portraits and integrated AI features within the camera app.
The Vivo V60 5G is equipped with a robust 6,500 mAh battery, a major selling point for users seeking extended usage. This large battery is supported by 90W fast charging technology, with the charger conveniently included in the box, capable of replenishing a significant portion of the battery in approximately 30 minutes. The device also boasts impressive durability with IP68 and IP69 certifications, ensuring resistance against dust and water.
Display-wise, the V60 5G features a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an exceptional peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits, with a high brightness mode (HBM) of 1,500 nits for clear visibility even in direct sunlight. The screen is protected by Diamond Shield Glass for enhanced durability.
In terms of memory and storage, the Vivo V60 5G is available in several configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 36,999; 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs 38,999; 12GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs 40,999; and a top-end 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant at Rs 45,999. Customers can also avail Rs 3,000 bank discounts on select cards. The device will be offered in three elegant colors: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray.
