Unmind, a London-based digital mental health platform, has announced a significant $35 million investment round. The funding was spearheaded by TELUS Global Ventures, a division of the international technology and telecommunications giant TELUS. Additional participants in the round included firms such as Project A, Felix Capital, and Sapphire Ventures. This latest capital injection brings Unmind’s total funding to $82 million since its inception in 2016.
The primary objective of this new funding is to bolster Unmind’s continued expansion into the U.S. market and to further develop its comprehensive suite of mental well-being offerings. Nick Taylor, CEO and co-founder of Unmind, stated, “This new funding means we can accelerate our mission of unleashing human potential at work. We’re excited to grow our impact and change the way companies approach mental health — blending expert care with smart technology to reach millions of people around the world.”
Unmind provides a modern employee assistance program (EAP) that integrates therapy, coaching, and advanced technological tools. Notably, its offerings include AI-backed well-being tools and a generative AI companion named Nova. The company’s products currently serve 2.5 million employees globally, with a client roster that includes major corporations such as Uber, Samsung, Disney, and Diageo.
In conjunction with the funding announcement, Unmind also revealed the appointment of Laura Moniz de Aragao as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Formerly a top sales executive at BetterUp, Moniz de Aragao will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s U.S. expansion, leading its go-to-market strategy, and strengthening partnerships. This strategic hire underscores Unmind’s commitment to aggressive growth in the digital mental health sector.

The investment comes at a time when venture capital investments in healthcare providers are generally slowing, yet enterprise-focused digital mental health providers continue to attract substantial funding. This trend is exemplified by other recent investments in the sector, such as Kyan Health securing approximately $17 million and Spring Health raising $100 million in a Series E round a year prior.
