To facilitate the adoption and understanding of this new technology, UMN’s IT department is hosting a 90-minute webinar titled ‘Introducing Gemini: Your Generative AI Partner.’ The webinar, scheduled for Thursday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m., will offer a comprehensive demonstration of Gemini’s functionalities and provide essential guidelines for its appropriate use within the university environment.
Users interested in attending the live webinar or receiving a link to the recording can do so by completing an RSVP form. The university is also providing various resources to support the responsible and effective use of generative AI tools, including information on ‘Gemini with Enterprise Grade Protection,’ ‘Navigating AI at the University of Minnesota,’ ‘Appropriate Use of Generative AI Tools,’ and ‘University Libraries Information and Guidance on Generative AI Tools.’
