TruthScan Launches Advanced AI Detection to Combat Deepfake Fraud

TLDR: A new AI-powered platform called TruthScan has been launched to combat the rising threat of deepfake-enabled fraud. Developed by the founders of Undetectable AI, TruthScan is designed to detect fraudulent images, videos, audio, and text generated by artificial intelligence. The platform aims to protect both individuals and businesses from the growing financial and reputational damage caused by AI-driven cybercrime.

In response to the escalating crisis of AI-generated fraud, a new company named TruthScan has officially launched its anti-AI fraud solution. The platform is engineered to identify and neutralize the threat posed by deepfake technology, which includes manipulated images, videos, audio, and text. The founders of Undetectable AI are the driving force behind this new venture, which aims to provide a robust defense against the increasing sophistication of AI-driven cybercrime.

The launch of TruthScan comes at a critical time, as statistics reveal a dramatic surge in AI-related fraud. According to a report by Keepnetlabs, deepfake fraud attempts have skyrocketed by 2,137% over the last three years. The financial ramifications are staggering, with losses from deepfake-enabled fraud exceeding $200 million in the first quarter of 2025 alone, as reported by Security Magazine. Businesses have been hit particularly hard, with an average loss of nearly $500,000 per incident in 2024, and large enterprises facing losses of up to $680,000. The financial sector has been a primary target, witnessing a 700% increase in deepfake incidents in 2023.

Christian Perry, the CEO of TruthScan, highlighted the accessibility of AI tools as a major concern. “The new AI image and video models available to the public enable relatively unsophisticated attackers to carry out sophisticated AI-enabled cybercrimes and attacks,” he stated. This sentiment is underscored by a recent high-profile case where a multi-national firm in Hong Kong was defrauded of $25 million by criminals who used AI to impersonate the company’s CFO.

TruthScan employs a multi-pronged approach to combat this threat. The company utilizes adversarial research and reverse engineering to understand how deepfakes are created, allowing them to develop more effective detection methods. Their services are available to both individual consumers and enterprise clients through an API, a web-based platform, and a browser extension that provides real-time protection during video calls and while browsing the internet.

“The general public is starting to realize how dangerous deepfakes are,” Perry added. “We are doing everything we can to inform the public about how serious deepfake fraud is, and before it’s too late, we will keep developing solutions to fight it.” The company’s mission is to restore trust in the digital world by providing the tools necessary to differentiate between authentic and AI-generated content.
