MUMBAI, India – The Economic Times has officially unveiled the ‘ET AI Awards 2025: Celebrating Innovation and Impact,’ marking India’s inaugural awards program designed to honor the trailblazers shaping the future with artificial intelligence. This initiative seeks to identify and commend both emerging startups and established companies that are leveraging AI to deliver tangible results and create measurable impact across diverse Indian sectors.
The awards come at a pivotal time as India’s AI sector experiences rapid growth, with a clear objective to spotlight genuine innovations that are making a difference in people’s lives and business operations. Puneet Kukreja, VP – Product & Reader Revenue, Economictimes.com, emphasized the program’s philosophy, stating, “The future of AI will be defined not just by disruptive ideas, but by the ability to deliver them responsibly, at scale.” He further added, “Through the ET AI Awards, we honour companies that embody this balance — Innovation & Impact in solving real problems, and Functional Excellence in how those solutions are designed, governed, and deployed.”
The ET AI Awards feature two distinct tracks to ensure comprehensive recognition: a ‘Startups Track’ for companies founded within the last five years with revenues under ₹50 crore, and an ‘Enterprise Track’ for established organizations with revenues exceeding ₹50 crore that are implementing AI solutions at scale. Awards will be presented across four key categories: Innovation & Impact, Functional Excellence, Leadership Awards, and Special Awards, targeting areas where AI is generating the most significant business and social transformation.
The rigorous evaluation process is structured in two stages. Initially, technical experts will assess submissions based on their innovation quality, market potential, and practical application. Subsequently, a distinguished jury comprising senior executives and AI specialists will review shortlisted entries for their strategic value and business viability.
Participating organizations stand to gain substantial benefits, including enhanced visibility through The Economic Times platform, invaluable networking opportunities with investors and industry leaders, and recognition that can significantly aid in talent acquisition and business development. This program is envisioned as more than just an awards ceremony; it’s an overarching initiative to foster India’s AI ecosystem and elevate the nation’s position on the global competitiveness map, aligning with India’s ambitious $5 trillion economy vision driven by digital technology.
