SINGAPORE – Temus, a digital transformation firm established by Temasek, has unveiled a series of strategic partnerships and executive appointments aimed at accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation across both public and private sectors in Singapore. These initiatives are designed to bolster the nation’s Smart Nation 2.0 vision, fostering economic growth and job creation through advanced AI capabilities.
The firm has entered into three significant collaborations:
Partnership with Resaro for Trustworthy AI: Temus and Resaro, both signatories of Singapore’s AI Verify Foundation, are partnering to build and deploy trustworthy AI at scale. Resaro will serve as an independent, third-party AI assurance provider, evaluating AI solutions against robust quality indicators that integrate business, governance, and technical considerations. This collaboration is crucial as AI adoption is projected to contribute up to S$198.3 billion in economic benefits to Singapore by 2030. Sutowo Wong, Managing Director, AI & Data, Temus, emphasized, “This isn’t about auditing AI after the fact; it’s about building trust into the very fabric of the AI development lifecycle. Our partnership with Resaro operationalises governance, providing a clear, automated path for our clients to move from pilot projects to production-ready systems with confidence.” April Chin, Co-CEO, Resaro, added that their role is to ensure AI solutions meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and security, bridging technical testing with governance requirements.
Collaboration with Peak3 for AI-Driven Insurance Innovation: Temus and Peak3 are committed to positioning the insurance sector as a key growth frontier for AI acceleration. Peak3’s cloud-native platform currently manages over 2 billion policies for more than 50 insurance partners globally. By integrating AI into this foundation, the partnership aims to enhance efficiency, introduce new business models, and deliver more personalized customer experiences. The global generative AI in insurance market is anticipated to grow from approximately S$1.03 billion in 2022 to S$19.4 billion by 2032, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 34.4%. Dr. Samuel Chong, Managing Director, Insurance, Temus, stated, “Temus’ partnership with Peak3, aims to empower more Singapore-based insurers to move beyond experimentation into enterprise-grade AI.” Bill Song, CEO, Peak3, highlighted the potential to embed secure, context-aware protection into everyday life at scale.
Deepened Engagement with IMDA TeSA and AI Verify Foundation: Temus is expanding its existing relationship with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to cultivate Singapore’s AI workforce and further the AI Verify Foundation’s mission of building trustworthy AI. This commitment reinforces Temus’ role in shaping Singapore’s digital future through initiatives like the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA). Kiren Kumar, Deputy Chief Executive, IMDA, noted that these partnerships are vital for developing tech talent and accelerating the deployment of trusted AI solutions.
Leadership Team Expansion and Talent Nurturing: To support its ambitious growth in the AI era, Temus has expanded its leadership team with several key appointments. Sutowo Wong joins as Managing Director, AI & Data; Vincent Tay as Managing Director and Head of Public Sector; Dr. Samuel Chong as Managing Director, Insurance; and Carl Ward as Advisor, Technology & Innovation. The firm is also investing in its digital and AI workforce through programs like the newly launched “T-Shape Community,” an in-house initiative to build AI fluency across all roles, and the “Step IT Up” program, which has successfully transitioned nearly 80 individuals from non-IT backgrounds into full-time technology roles since 2022.
