This strategic focus is expected to lead to a substantial expansion of the AI application market within the next two years, as businesses begin to reallocate their infrastructure investments beyond traditional cloud computing towards more distributed, edge-based solutions.
AI agents, defined as a new generation of digital labor, are designed to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks while also serving as intelligent personal assistants to boost productivity for both individuals and organizations. Their ability to perform complex, GPU-intensive logic processing and parallel execution is crucial for modern AI workloads. The global landscape is already witnessing a surge in AI agent integration; a May 2025 PwC survey of 308 U.S. senior executives revealed that 79% of companies have adopted some form of AI agent, with 17% reporting full implementation and 35% extensive use. These agents are predominantly utilized for routine operations such as data analysis, record updating, and query responses, yielding tangible benefits: 66% of respondents noted increased productivity, 57% observed reduced costs, and 55% experienced faster decision-making.
Further underscoring this trend, an IBM report from June 2025, conducted in collaboration with Oxford Economics and surveying 2,900 executives globally, indicated that while only about 3% of enterprise workflows currently leverage AI agents, this figure is projected to skyrocket to 25% by the end of 2025.
