StackGen Revolutionizes Infrastructure Management with AI-Powered Autonomous Platform and Next-Gen Agents

TLDR: StackGen has launched its Autonomous Infrastructure Platform, an AI-powered solution featuring next-generation AI agents designed to build and manage cloud infrastructure autonomously. This platform aims to address the significant bottlenecks and productivity losses in traditional infrastructure management, which cost enterprises over $20 billion annually.

SAN FRANCISCO – July 29, 2025 – StackGen, a leading innovator in autonomous infrastructure technology, today announced the official launch of its groundbreaking Autonomous Infrastructure Platform. This industry-first, AI-powered platform introduces a new generation of AI agents specifically engineered to autonomously build and manage cloud infrastructure, marking a significant leap forward in enterprise infrastructure management.

The launch comes as the industry grapples with a growing disparity between the accelerated pace of AI-driven development and the often-manual, bottleneck-prone processes of infrastructure management. Traditional approaches are estimated to cost enterprises more than $20 billion annually, with developers losing approximately $2.5 million per 100 developers in productivity due to spending 23% of their time on infrastructure provisioning rather than feature development. StackGen’s new platform directly addresses this challenge by leveraging AI agents that possess a deep understanding of specific infrastructure contexts and organizational standards, thereby enhancing development velocity and significantly reducing operational overhead for both developers and platform teams.

Sachin Aggarwal, CEO of StackGen, emphasized the company’s pioneering role, stating, “We’re pioneering a new category while the industry remains anchored to legacy infrastructure flows. While AI transforms every aspect of business, infrastructure teams remain stuck with manual processes that can’t keep pace with AI-accelerated development. Our Autonomous Infrastructure Platform doesn’t just solve today’s problems—it defines what enterprise infrastructure should look like in an AI-first world.” Industry analysts concur with this transformative shift. Gartner® predicts that “By 2028, at least 15% of day-to-day IT infrastructure-related tasks will be executed semiautonomously by AI, up from zero percent in 2024.”

The platform builds upon StackGen’s established enterprise foundation, which currently serves prominent companies such as Autodesk, SAP NS2, NBA, Nielsen, and InMobi with core infrastructure management capabilities, including policy enforcement, environment management, and automation workflows. The new AI agent capabilities will roll out incrementally, beginning with StackBuilder early access today, complementing the already available StackHealer via AWS Marketplace. Additional agents are slated for release through Q3-Q4 2025, with comprehensive autonomous capabilities across the entire infrastructure lifecycle projected for 2026. Early access customers will collaborate directly with StackGen’s product team through the company’s Design Partner Program.

Asif Awan, CPO of StackGen, commented on the platform’s evolution, stating, “Our autonomous infrastructure platform builds on years of enterprise-proven infrastructure management capabilities.” Dan Twing of EMA further highlighted the platform’s significance, noting, “StackGen is among the first infrastructure vendors to deliver the combination of deterministic guardrails and LLM-enabled productivity that enterprise engineering teams demand. Their Autonomous Infrastructure Platform illustrates the shift from infrastructure as a static pipeline to an autonomous system enabled by intelligent agents, at a time when 70% of IT leaders plan to adopt AI-driven capabilities within the next 12 months.”
