Sola Security Secures $35M in Series A Funding to Advance AI-Powered Cybersecurity Solutions

TLDR: Cybersecurity startup Sola Security has successfully closed a $35 million Series A funding round, bringing its total raised capital to $65 million. The company, founded by industry veterans Guy Flechter and Ron Peled, is leveraging generative AI to revolutionize threat detection and security operations, enabling users to create custom security applications rapidly and efficiently.

In a significant move for the cybersecurity landscape, Tel Aviv-based startup Sola Security announced on September 4, 2025, the successful closure of a $35 million Series A funding round. This latest investment, led by existing backer S32 and joined by prominent investors including Microsoft’s M12 Venture Fund, New Era Capital Partners, venture capitalist Mike Moritz, S Capital, and Glilot Capital Partners, elevates the company’s total funding to $65 million. The substantial capital injection is earmarked to further advance Sola Security’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence capabilities.

Founded in 2024 by cybersecurity veterans Guy Flechter, former CEO and Co-Founder of Cider Security (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), and Ron Peled, former Global CISO of LivePerson, Sola Security emerged from a shared frustration with the perceived stagnation in cybersecurity innovation. Their mission is to infuse the AI revolution into cybersecurity, fundamentally redefining how security challenges are approached and resolved, effectively compressing weeks or days of effort into mere minutes.

Sola Security’s core offering is a cybersecurity AI assistant platform that empowers security teams to build bespoke threat detection applications using generative AI prompts. This innovative approach allows users to specify the systems they wish to monitor and the types of vulnerabilities they aim to track. The platform then automatically generates the necessary software components to perform these tasks, connecting to monitored systems to collect cybersecurity data and generating SQL queries to identify potential risks.

Since its emergence from stealth six months prior, Sola Security has rapidly gained traction, attracting over 2,000 users who have collectively developed more than 1,000 custom security applications. These applications span a wide array of critical security domains, including identity and access management, cloud security, posture and configuration management, and compliance. The platform is designed to visualize findings in graphs for easier analysis and continuously checks for new vulnerabilities, issuing alerts when detected. A built-in chatbot further facilitates data analysis through natural language queries.

Guy Flechter, CEO and Co-Founder of Sola Security, emphasized the company’s vision, stating, “Cybersecurity is entering its AI moment, and we intend to lead it. We’re building the go-to platform for creating security solutions, with Sola AI turning ideas into instant, customizable defenses without the complexity, cost, or vendor locking that has held teams back for decades.” He further articulated the need for the industry to move faster, delivering solutions that are simple, lightweight, and tailored to specific needs.

Investors echoed this sentiment, highlighting Sola Security’s transformative potential. Wesley Tillu, Partner at S32, remarked, “Sola is redefining what’s possible in cybersecurity. By combining deep industry experience with a bold vision for AI-driven innovation, the team is building a platform that will transform how security challenges are solved for years to come.” Todd Graham, Managing Partner at M12, added that “Sola is transforming cybersecurity as we know it and ushering it into the age of AI.” Ziv Conen, Partner at New Era Capital Partners, underscored that Sola is “democratizing cybersecurity and empowering practitioners to seize the AI promise faster, and better than ever.”
