SixSense, an innovative AI company co-founded in 2018 by CEO Akanksha Jagwani and CTO Avni Agarwal, has announced an $8.5 million Series A funding round. This investment brings their total funding to approximately $12 million. The round was led by Peak XV’s Surge seed platform, with additional participation from Alpha Intelligence Capital, FEBE, and other investors.
The Singapore-based startup is dedicated to bringing ‘intelligent automation’ to the complex semiconductor industry. Their AI platform is designed to leverage data to detect manufacturing issues proactively, optimize production output, and provide greater control over the entire process.
Akanksha Jagwani, with her background in mechanical engineering, spearheads business development and strategic partnerships with semiconductor fabrication plants for the deployment of SixSense’s AI solutions. Avni Agarwal, a computer engineering expert, leads the company’s technological and product vision.
SixSense’s technology is already being utilized by major semiconductor manufacturers, including GlobalFoundries and JCET. The company currently operates with fabs in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Israel, and is now expanding its reach into the U.S. market.
