TLDR: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the University of Oxford, has successfully concluded an intensive eight-week AI Application Engineering Bootcamp for 30 Saudi university graduates. The program, which included remote and in-person phases at Oxford, aimed to equip participants with advanced skills in AI, computer vision, deep learning, and generative models, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation goals.
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in partnership with the prestigious University of Oxford, recently concluded its comprehensive AI Application Engineering Bootcamp, a significant initiative aimed at bolstering Saudi Arabia’s national capabilities in artificial intelligence. The intensive eight-week program, which wrapped up around October 9, 2025, saw 30 Saudi university graduates receive advanced training in cutting-edge AI technologies.
The bootcamp was structured in two distinct phases. The initial phase involved remote learning, providing participants with foundational and theoretical knowledge. This was followed by a crucial three-week in-person residency at Oxford University, where students engaged in hands-on practical application. The graduates, holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in AI, computer science, and related fields, arrived in London for the Oxford phase on September 22, 2025.
The curriculum, meticulously designed and delivered by international experts, covered a wide array of advanced AI sciences. Key areas of focus included computer vision, deep learning, and generative models. Participants gained invaluable practical experience with industry-standard frameworks and technologies such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, YOLO, and Hugging Face. They also undertook advanced projects in natural language processing and computer vision, developing real-world technical solutions.
