Samsung Securities Enhances mPOP with Revamped Overseas Stock Screens and Advanced AI Translation

TLDR: Samsung Securities has significantly upgraded its mobile trading system (MTS) mPOP, introducing enhanced overseas stock screens for improved user convenience and integrating new AI-powered translation services. These updates aim to provide investors with real-time, easily digestible information on global markets, including AI-translated news and financial reports.

Samsung Securities announced on September 29, 2025, a comprehensive overhaul of its mobile trading system (MTS) mPOP, focusing on improving the overseas stock investment experience for its customers. The revamp includes significant enhancements to the overseas stock screens and the introduction of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-based information services.

The updated mPOP overseas stock screens now feature a foreign currency-won conversion button, allowing customers to check the real-time value of their holdings in Korean Won. An integrated order button has been added, consolidating buy, sell, accumulation, and modify/cancel functions into a single, streamlined interface. The platform also strengthens the provision of stock-related information, displaying comparisons of previous day’s and current day’s trading volumes and optimizing trade execution details for each stock. For investors holding specific stocks, the quote screen now immediately shows their holding quantity and rate of return.

Further improvements have been made to the balance and profit and loss management screen. It now visualizes portfolio composition with a donut chart for intuitive understanding and includes an order path to easily track filled and unfilled orders. The system provides the entire quantity, including fractional shares, as part of the balance, offering a complete view of various trading units. A one-stop trading environment has been created, allowing users to view key information such as dividends, rights, and earnings directly on the balance screen and proceed to place orders from the same interface.

In a significant technological leap, Samsung Securities has integrated new AI translation services into mPOP. This service utilizes generative AI to translate and summarize overseas news and disclosures, presenting the latest global market information in a format that customers can easily understand. The AI is capable of translating and summarizing critical financial documents, including annual reports (10-K) and quarterly earnings reports (10-Q) of U.S.-listed companies. Furthermore, current reports (8-K), which detail major corporate events like mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or changes in earnings guidance, are also quickly translated and summarized by the AI to keep investors informed in a timely manner.

A Samsung Securities official commented on the update, stating, “This overhaul is meaningful in that it enhanced screen convenience and AI-based information services, elevating customers’ overseas stock investment experience by one step. We will continue to actively support customers so they can invest more easily and conveniently within the MTS.” The article also noted that it was translated by AI, indicating the company’s embrace of the technology.
