Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has officially entered into a multi-year strategic alliance with Google Public Sector, a move set to significantly advance “AI at the Edge” solutions for government clients. Announced on July 30, 2025, this collaboration will harness the robust capabilities of Google Distributed Cloud to deliver cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to defense, intelligence, space, and civilian sectors.

The alliance is designed to address the unique requirements of tactical edge environments, emphasizing low latency, high bandwidth, data residency, and compliance for sensitive information. By deploying AI closer to the data source, even in disconnected or intermittently connected settings, the partnership aims to enable real-time data processing and rapid insights, thereby improving decision-making and mission success. Lauren Knausenberger, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of SAIC, stated, “SAIC is excited to join forces with Google Public Sector to drive AI at the Edge solutions for our nation’s critical missions.”

As a leading mission integrator for the government, SAIC brings extensive expertise in linking current systems with emerging technologies. The company is positioned as one of the first system integrators to bring Google Distributed Cloud to market, which will empower customers to deploy AI at the edge, enhance operational efficiency through AI-driven applications, strengthen security and compliance with Google Cloud’s platform, and accelerate innovation through co-development efforts.

A critical component of this strategic alliance is a significant investment in human capital. SAIC has committed to training and certifying 1,000 of its personnel in Google Cloud technologies over the course of the agreement. Google Cloud will support this initiative by providing a dedicated Learning Consultant to expedite the certification process for SAIC resources. This commitment underscores the long-term vision of the partnership to build a skilled workforce capable of delivering advanced AI solutions.
