TLDR: Riskified, a leader in e-commerce fraud prevention, has partnered with cybersecurity firm HUMAN Security to establish a unified security framework. This collaboration aims to protect merchants and enable them to safely integrate emerging AI shopping agent commerce, addressing new fraud vectors and ensuring secure transactions in the evolving digital landscape.
In a significant move to secure the rapidly evolving landscape of digital commerce, Riskified (NYSE: RSKD), a global leader in e-commerce fraud prevention and risk intelligence, has announced a strategic partnership with HUMAN Security, a prominent cybersecurity company. The alliance, unveiled on August 13, 2025, is driven by a shared vision to develop a unified security framework designed to help merchants safely embrace and thrive within the emerging realm of AI shopping agent commerce.
The rise of AI shopping agents, while promising new opportunities for customer acquisition and conversion, also introduces complex challenges for identity and trust verification. Consumers are increasingly utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Llama, and Perplexity for product research, price comparison, and deal discovery. This shift, coupled with advancements in LLM browser experiences, creates new avenues for both legitimate transactions and sophisticated fraudulent activities.
Traditional rule-based fraud management systems often fall short when AI agents conduct transactions, as they eliminate crucial behavioral signals, leading to higher rates of false declines or undetected fraud. Early data from Riskified’s merchant network underscores these risks: LLM-generated traffic for a major ticket seller was found to be 2.3 times riskier than traffic from Google searches, and for an electronics retailer, it was 1.8 times riskier. Furthermore, Riskified has observed initial signs of automated reseller arbitrage, where AI agents rapidly acquire inventory for resale at inflated prices through fraudulent storefronts.
To counter these threats, the partnership combines HUMAN’s HUMAN Sightline, featuring AgenticTrust, with Riskified’s extensive expertise in e-commerce risk management, including fraud prevention, chargeback protection, and policy abuse prevention. This integrated approach allows merchants to apply consistent trust policies and make informed transaction decisions across both human and AI-driven interactions.
Assaf Feldman, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Riskified, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “In a world where AI agents transact on behalf of individuals, resolving identity and trust becomes more complex. By working with HUMAN and developing new agentic tools and capabilities, we give merchants a way to safely embrace this shift, turning what could be a threat into a new, profitable digital channel.”
John Searby, Chief Strategy Officer of HUMAN Security, echoed this sentiment: “We are incredibly excited to be working with Riskified as a launch partner, bringing together HUMAN Sightline featuring AgenticTrust with their e-commerce risk management expertise to help establish a trusted ecosystem for agentic commerce. HUMAN provides the trust layer and visibility to identify and govern AI shopping agent interactions, empowering merchants to set and enforce trust or not policies. Riskified brings deep expertise in e-commerce transaction fraud prevention, chargeback protection, and policy abuse prevention. Together, we enable merchants to approve more legitimate AI-driven orders, reduce false declines, and protect margins, setting the standard for how agentic commerce can grow safely and profitably.”
Alongside the partnership, Riskified is rolling out new technologies to enhance fraud and abuse prevention in agentic e-commerce. These include: AI Agent Approve, an MCP Server Package on AWS Marketplace to facilitate secure communication between merchants and LLMs; AI Agent Intelligence, providing dashboard views within the Riskified Control Center to monitor AI-generated e-commerce orders; and AI Agent Policy Builder, enabling configuration and enforcement of policies against agent misuse, such as programmatic return abuse, reseller arbitrage, and promotional abuse.
