Refold AI Secures $6.5 Million Seed Funding to Revolutionize Enterprise Integration with Autonomous AI Agents

TLDR: Refold AI, an AI startup based in Bengaluru and San Mateo, has successfully raised $6.5 million in seed funding. The capital will be used to scale its autonomous enterprise integration agents, which aim to automate complex API tasks, eliminate the ‘integration tax’ for businesses, and replace traditional system integrators with AI-driven solutions. The company’s platform uses AI agents to autonomously write, test, and maintain integrations, significantly reducing the time and cost associated with enterprise software connectivity.

Refold AI, an innovative artificial intelligence startup with dual headquarters in Bengaluru, India, and San Mateo, California, has announced the successful closure of a $6.5 million seed funding round. This significant investment is earmarked to accelerate the development and deployment of its autonomous enterprise integration agents, a technology poised to transform how businesses manage their complex API connections and software ecosystems.

The funding round was co-led by prominent venture capital firms Eniac Ventures and Tidal Ventures, with additional participation from Ahead, Karman, the founders of Innovaccer, Better Capital, and other angel investors. This capital infusion underscores investor confidence in Refold AI’s vision to tackle the estimated $350 billion ‘integration tax’ that enterprises annually incur through manual integrations and consulting services.

Founded by Jugal Anchalia, who serves as CEO, and Abhishek Kumar, Refold AI emerged from the founders’ firsthand experiences with the inefficiencies and high costs associated with traditional enterprise resource planning (ERP) environments. Anchalia stated, “We spent more time managing chaos than building software,” highlighting the pain points their solution addresses. Kumar added, “Integrations should be free, fast, and invisible,” encapsulating the company’s core philosophy.

Refold AI’s platform is an ‘AI-native system integrator’ that deploys intelligent agents capable of autonomously writing, testing, and maintaining intricate integrations. These AI agents are designed to learn how various systems interact, generate the necessary integration code, and adapt automatically to software changes and upgrades. This capability dramatically reduces integration projects from months to mere days, minimizing downtime and operational costs.

The startup is already making significant inroads, serving over 30 enterprise customers, including notable names like Incorta and Naehas. The platform supports more than 1,500 active users and processes over 30 million API calls monthly. Current use cases span critical business functions such as ERP to CRM syncing, financial reconciliation, supply chain automation, and business intelligence (BI).

Refold AI’s financial health appears robust, with current annual recurring revenue (ARR) already in the low seven figures and projections to reach $4 million to $5 million ARR by the end of 2025. The company boasts healthy gross margins of 75%-78%, providing a substantial 24-month runway for continued growth and innovation. The team, comprising 20 professionals across its two locations, plans to deepen its integration catalogue and focus on seamless, low-friction deployment to assist enterprises in modernizing their AI stacks.

Industry leaders have lauded Refold AI’s approach. Hadley Harris of Eniac Ventures views this development as foundational for the ‘agentic era’ of technology, while Nicholas Muy of Tidal Ventures described it as ‘a leap forward’ for one of enterprise software’s most challenging processes. Refold AI aims to replace the need for armies of billable-hours contractors and legacy integration platform as a service (iPaaS) tools by offering a solution that profits from eliminating complexity rather than perpetuating it.
