Quiss Technology Forges Exclusive Partnership with Generative AI Innovator Qanooni AI

TLDR: UK managed services provider Quiss Technology has announced an exclusive strategic partnership with UAE-founded generative AI startup Qanooni AI. This collaboration will see Quiss integrate Qanooni’s Microsoft 365-embedded platform, designed to assist legal professionals with drafting, reviewing, and researching legal content, into its service portfolio for its extensive law firm client base.

Quiss Technology, a prominent UK-based managed services provider, has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Qanooni AI, a generative AI startup originating from the United Arab Emirates. The alliance, announced on July 16, 2025, aims to enhance legal content creation and review processes for law firms across the UK.

Qanooni AI, founded in 2024 by former lawyers and engineers Anuscha Iqbal, Ziyaad Ahmed, and Karim Shiyab, offers a Microsoft 365-embedded tool specifically designed to aid legal professionals. Its platform streamlines tasks such as drafting, reviewing, and researching legal content within Microsoft Word and Outlook. The technology supports first-draft generation, legal research, clause-level contract review, litigation chronologies, and matter summaries. It is also noted for its ability to integrate with document management systems and adapt to a firm’s internal tone, templates, and playbooks.

To spearhead its UK launch, Qanooni AI has brought on Rob Lawson, formerly a sales head at companies including Perfect Portal and Moneypenny, as head of sales and partnerships. Lawson, who previously worked as a personal injury fee-earner, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, ‘Qanooni is built to work the way lawyers do. Our platform helps legal professionals go from first draft to final review with dramatically reduced turnaround times—without compromising on quality or tone. Quiss is helping us to bring this capability to even more firms across the UK.’

Quiss Technology, a certified Microsoft partner specializing in Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Copilot, will integrate Qanooni’s platform into its existing suite of services. Quiss boasts a substantial client base of approximately 450 law firms and maintains a select number of technology partnerships, including one with AI timekeeping solution Laurel, which recently secured $100 million in Series C funding.

Qanooni AI itself successfully raised $2 million in June, with backing from notable investors such as Village Global, Salica Investments’ Oryx Fund, TA Ventures, and a group of strategic angel investors. This funding is intended to support the company’s expansion efforts across both the UAE and the UK. The startup is currently engaged in pilot programs with two of the UK’s top 100 law firms, indicating strong market interest and potential for further growth and future funding rounds.
