TLDR: The Premier League has entered into a multi-year partnership with Adobe to deliver AI-driven, personalized digital experiences to its global fanbase. The collaboration will integrate Adobe’s creative and marketing technologies, including Adobe Express and the generative AI platform Firefly, into the Premier League’s digital platforms. This will enable fans to create custom content, receive tailored news alerts, and enjoy a more interactive Fantasy Premier League experience, starting with the 2025/26 season.
The Premier League announced a significant multi-year partnership with Adobe, designating the software giant as its Official Creativity and Digital Fan Experience Partner. This collaboration aims to redefine how the league’s 1.8 billion global fans interact with its content by leveraging Adobe’s cutting-edge AI and creative tools.
The partnership, announced at the Adobe Summit in London, will see the integration of Adobe Express and Adobe Firefly into the Premier League’s website and mobile app. This will empower fans to create their own unique content, from social media posts to personalized Fantasy Premier League assets.
Starting with the 2025/26 season, Fantasy Premier League managers will be able to design custom badges and kits for their teams using Adobe Firefly, a generative AI tool trained on a library of commercially safe and licensed content. Fans will also have access to exclusive Premier League templates within Adobe Express to craft standout social media content.
“Adobe is a global leader in digital experiences and creativity, and this exciting partnership provides us with the tools to better understand and deliver what our fans need and want digitally, ensuring we can provide the best of the Premier League directly to them,” said Will Brass, Chief Commercial Officer at the Premier League. “Our partnership aims to enrich the fan experience and provide them with new creative ways to express their passion for the league.”
The collaboration extends beyond fan creativity. The Premier League will utilize Adobe’s Experience Platform to deliver personalized content and real-time news alerts to fans based on their individual interests and even their location, such as sending notifications to fans inside a stadium on a matchday.
Rachel Thornton, CMO for Enterprise at Adobe, commented, “Adobe AI technology is empowering passionate fans to shape how they experience and share the unrivalled drama of matchday, through real-time news updates and fan-created content that stands-out on social media, thanks to the creative magic of Adobe Express – the quick and easy content creation app.”
This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation for the Premier League, which also includes a partnership with Microsoft for cloud and AI infrastructure. The league aims to create a more direct and engaging relationship with its vast global audience, recognizing the diversity of its fanbase.
Alexandra Willis, Director of Digital Media and Audience Development at The Premier League, highlighted the importance of personalization: “No Liverpool fan is the same. They’re all very different. When you then take a Liverpool fan who also follows a number of Manchester City players, [we can create] an infinite loop of engagement, based on each individual fan’s needs and wants.”
