The investment was led by Yali Capital, with significant participation from Lip-Bu Tan and Tremis Capital. The Noida-based company plans to utilize the capital to accelerate product innovation, enhance its AI capabilities, and expand its market presence both in India and internationally.

Noida-based deeptech innovator, PointAI, formerly known as Try ND Buy, has announced a successful Pre-Series A funding round, securing ₹47 crore (approximately $5.6 million USD). The round was spearheaded by Yali Capital, a prominent investment firm, and saw participation from notable investors including Lip-Bu Tan, Chairman of Walden International, and Tremis Capital. Further support came from industry stalwarts such as Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of Paytm, and Vinod Sood, Co-founder of Hughes Systique.

Founded by Nitin Vats, PointAI has developed a proprietary parallel AI architecture, backed by over 70 global patents. This advanced technology is designed to deliver real-time, high-precision visual experiences for online shoppers. The company’s platform enables users to virtually try on products, mix and match items, and even interact with a digital salesperson, effectively replicating a comprehensive real-store experience online.

PointAI distinguishes itself by claiming its system can generate hyper-realistic images, videos, and 3D assets within a mere one to two seconds. This process is reportedly achieved with up to 90% lower costs and compute power compared to traditional generative AI models, offering a significant efficiency advantage.

The fresh infusion of capital will be strategically deployed to accelerate product innovation, further strengthen PointAI’s core AI capabilities, and expand the company’s market footprint across India and into international markets.

Nitin Vats, Founder and CEO of PointAI, commented on the funding, stating, “This investment is a testament to our team’s hard work and the transformative potential of our AI technology in revolutionizing online retail. We are excited to use these funds to push the boundaries of visual AI and bring unparalleled shopping experiences to more users globally.”

Their focus on scientific rigor and real-world application makes them a standout in India’s growing AI landscape.”
