TLDR: PlanBy Technologies has launched an innovative generative AI solution for architectural visualization, enabling users to rapidly create detailed bird’s-eye views and interior designs from simple text prompts and reference images. This technology significantly reduces the time and cost associated with traditional 3D rendering, offering photorealistic designs in under 30 seconds and enhancing productivity for construction, architectural, and real estate firms.
Seoul, KR – September 2, 2025 – PlanBy Technologies is transforming the architectural visualization landscape with the integration of generative artificial intelligence into its core processes. This groundbreaking development allows users to generate highly detailed bird’s-eye views and intricate interior designs by merely inputting text prompts and reference images, marking a significant leap forward in efficiency and accessibility for the construction, architectural design, and real estate sectors.
Traditionally, architectural visualization has been a laborious and time-consuming endeavor. Architects and designers have long relied on computer-generated imagery (CGI) to bring their concepts to life, encompassing everything from technical drawings like floor plans and elevations to comprehensive cross-sections and bird’s-eye perspectives. This multi-stage process typically involves a ‘planning phase’ for gathering visual materials, a ‘modeling phase’ using 3D software, a ‘rendering phase’ for applying textures and lighting, and a final ‘post-production’ phase for refinements. This entire workflow can span from several days to over a month, depending on the complexity and desired quality of the visuals.
PlanBy Technologies aims to disrupt this conventional model by empowering clients to generate these visuals in-house. The company’s AI-powered solution, Planby Studio, bypasses the complex manual pipeline, enabling the creation of high-resolution, photorealistic images in as little as 30 seconds. This is achieved by allowing users to upload a screenshot of their 3D model’s desired angle and a reference image to guide the AI in inferring texture mapping, lighting logic, and photorealism. The platform leverages advanced AI models such as Stable Diffusion 3.5 and FLUX to achieve these rapid and high-quality outputs.
According to Hyeon-seop Noh, CEO of PlanBy Technologies, the company identified a clear bottleneck in the industry. “We were looking for a business model where we could see a return on our investment, and the idea of applying generative AI to a vertical market emerged,” Noh stated. “We investigated industries with clear bottlenecks and came up with the idea of using generative AI to solve architectural design visualization. Based on market feedback and our rapid development capabilities, we were able to launch our business with an investment from the U.S. venture capital firm, 500 Global.”
The benefits of this innovation are substantial, including reduced costs and increased productivity for construction companies, architectural design firms, and real estate businesses. PlanBy Technologies has already successfully conducted Proof of Concept projects with major domestic and international firms, demonstrating the efficacy of its technology. The company also showcased its capabilities at prominent industry events such as CES 2025 and the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design.

Beyond just speed, the promise of generative AI in architectural design lies in its accessibility and flexibility. Designers are no longer constrained by the need to master every intricate tool in the rendering pipeline. Planby Studio’s intuitive tools, such as ‘Render Interior & Render Exterior’ and ‘Virtual Renovation,’ allow for rapid generation of photorealistic scenes and transformation of existing spaces with minimal input. This shift means architectural creativity can be driven more by vision and context, making high-impact visuals accessible to a broader range of industries, including real estate, retail, and commercial planning, which may not always have access to full architectural teams.
