Ostro Introduces AI-Powered Airmark to Enhance Clinician-Pharma Engagement

TLDR: Ostro, a life-sciences digital engagement platform, has launched Airmark, an AI-powered tool designed to revolutionize how healthcare providers interact with pharmaceutical companies. Airmark enables clinicians to engage in direct, deeper conversations about products and medications by responding to pharmaceutical emails, addressing the current one-way communication challenges in the industry. The tool aims to increase physician knowledge, engagement, and understanding of therapeutics while adhering to strict regulatory requirements by using pre-loaded, approved information.

Ostro, a prominent life-sciences digital engagement platform, has unveiled its new artificial intelligence-powered tool, Airmark, aimed at transforming the interaction landscape between healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies. Launched on August 28, 2025, Airmark addresses a long-standing challenge in the pharmaceutical industry: the predominantly one-way communication flow where clinicians receive informational emails with limited opportunities for meaningful dialogue about products and medications.

Currently, if a healthcare provider has a question regarding a pharmaceutical product, they typically need to initiate a separate follow-up with the company or a representative, a process that can be cumbersome. Airmark streamlines this by allowing clinicians to respond directly to pharmaceutical emails. The platform’s AI agent then engages with the provider, answering questions and interacting in an automated fashion. A key feature of Airmark is its continuous learning capability, which enables it to send relevant information, provide accurate answers, and suggest appropriate next steps based on the provider’s interactions.

Co-founders Ahmed Elsayyad and Chase Feiger established Ostro after recognizing a significant lack of modernization in the pharmaceutical and provider engagement sector. Feiger highlighted that while many industries have embraced digital transformation, the healthcare engagement space has lagged.

One of Airmark’s primary goals is to enhance physician knowledge, engagement, and understanding of therapeutics. By fostering meaningful conversations, the platform moves beyond traditional ‘brute-force marketing’ of new drugs, instead providing a forum for healthcare providers to deeply understand innovative therapies, ultimately leading to more efficient patient care.

Crucially, Ostro’s platform navigates the stringent regulatory and compliance requirements of pharmaceutical marketing. Unlike generative AI solutions that create novel responses, Airmark’s agent is designed to answer questions exclusively with pre-loaded, pre-approved information. This approach ensures that all interactions adhere to Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review standards, bypassing the need for real-time content generation that would otherwise require extensive vetting.
