The initial phase of this collaboration grants Oracle customers access to Gemini 2.5 via the OCI Generative AI service. This integration empowers enterprises to develop sophisticated AI agents for a wide array of applications, including multimodal understanding, advanced coding and software development tasks, productivity and workflow automation, and comprehensive research and knowledge retrieval. The partnership underscores a shared vision to provide robust, secure, and cost-effective AI solutions that drive innovation and achieve critical business objectives.
Looking ahead, Oracle plans to make Google’s entire suite of Gemini models accessible through the OCI Generative AI service, facilitated by new integrations with Vertex AI. This will encompass advanced models for video, image, speech, and music generation, alongside specialized industry models such as MedLM. Furthermore, the collaboration will see Gemini models, delivered via Vertex AI, offered as an optional feature within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
