TLDR: Okestro, an AI and cloud software specialist, has partnered with Japanese IT infrastructure integrator TomorrowNet to launch AI cloud solutions in Japan. This collaboration, formalized through a sales contract, will focus on providing Okestro’s ‘Contrabass’ (IaaS) and ‘Viola’ (PaaS) solutions, with a strong emphasis on optimizing GPU infrastructure and establishing AI infrastructure for Japanese corporations.
Okestro, a leading corporation specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud software, announced on August 1, 2025, its strategic partnership with TomorrowNet, a prominent Japanese information technology (IT) infrastructure integration corporation. This collaboration marks Okestro’s official entry into the Japanese market, with TomorrowNet serving as its local partner and securing sales rights for Okestro’s cloud solutions.
The partnership stems from a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed last year, during which both companies conducted extensive technology validation (Proof of Concept, PoC) with Japanese corporations. This rigorous process aimed to verify the stability of the technology and assess market response, ensuring a robust foundation for their joint venture.
Under the terms of the sales contract, TomorrowNet will distribute Okestro’s flagship server virtualization solution, ‘Contrabass’ (IaaS), and its cloud-native operation management platform, ‘Viola’ (PaaS), across Japan. The collaboration extends beyond mere product supply, encompassing comprehensive technical support, localized marketing efforts, and proactive customer engagement.
Both companies are committed to expanding joint sales, particularly targeting Japanese corporations that are actively pursuing GPU infrastructure optimization, the establishment of advanced AI infrastructure, and seeking alternatives to VMware solutions. To facilitate this, they have jointly developed a GPU server-based testing environment and completed the localization of Japanese manuals and user interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and user experience for local clients.
Lee Chang-jin, representative of TomorrowNet, expressed strong confidence in the partnership, stating, ‘Okestro is a trusted partner with technological capabilities and a flexible support system. We will closely collaborate to effectively address the challenges Japanese corporations face, such as AI infrastructure optimization and VMware alternatives.’
