TLDR: Jigar Halani, Director of Solution Architecture and Engineering at Nvidia, predicts that current AI agents, which are largely task-specific, will evolve into ‘super agents’ capable of extensive multi-tasking. Speaking at DevSparks Hyderabad 2025, Halani emphasized that this shift will make AI agents more realistic, affordable, and autonomous, driving significant efficiency and cost savings across industries. The development is fueled by collaborative AI environments where multiple agents work in coordination, exemplified by voice-command-driven online ticket booking.
The rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) are paving the way for a new generation of ‘super agents,’ according to Jigar Halani, Director of Solution Architecture and Engineering at Nvidia. Speaking at YourStory’s flagship developer event, DevSparks Hyderabad 2025, Halani delivered a talk titled ‘Building and Deploying Scalable and Economic GenAI Solutions for All Industries,’ where he articulated his vision for the future of AI.
Halani stated, ‘Super agents will take over one day and they will do a lot of multi-tasking.’ This prediction highlights a significant evolution from the current state of agentic AI, which, while already transforming routine human tasks with enhanced efficiency, speed, and cost savings, is largely focused on single-task execution. The transition to super agents implies a leap towards more versatile and capable AI systems.
He elaborated on the collaborative nature of contemporary agentic AI, noting that ‘there is a collaborative environment around Agentic AI today as there are multiple agents working in co-ordination to perform the tasks.’ This coordinated effort among various AI agents is crucial for handling complex processes. As an illustration, Halani cited the example of online ticket booking, where users can complete the entire process through voice commands, facilitated by multiple AI agents working seamlessly together in the background.

Data remains a foundational element for constructing these AI agents, necessitating diverse software technologies for their deployment. This requirement fosters an ecosystem where multiple agents operate in concert to achieve a singular objective. Looking ahead, Halani anticipates that AI agents will become ‘more realistic, affordable, and far more automotive’ in the near future, indicating a broader accessibility and increased autonomy for these advanced systems. This evolution is expected to further accelerate the dissemination of technology, enabling wider reach and impact across various sectors.
