NVIDIA Achieves Unprecedented Q3 FY2025 Results Driven by AI and Accelerated Computing Demand

TLDR: NVIDIA has announced a record-breaking third quarter for fiscal year 2025, with revenue reaching $35.1 billion, marking a 94% year-over-year increase. This exceptional performance is primarily attributed to the surging demand for its AI and accelerated computing solutions, particularly within its Data Center segment, which alone generated $30.8 billion.

Santa Clara, CA – September 17, 2025 – NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) has reported a monumental third quarter for its fiscal year 2025, concluding on October 27, 2024, with record-shattering revenue of $35.1 billion. This figure represents an astounding 94% increase compared to the same period last year and a 17% sequential rise from the previous quarter, significantly surpassing both company guidance and analyst expectations.

The driving force behind this unprecedented financial success is unequivocally the company’s dominant position in artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated computing. The Data Center segment emerged as the undisputed star, contributing an unprecedented $30.8 billion in revenue. This segment alone saw a remarkable 112% year-over-year growth and accounted for 88% of NVIDIA’s total revenue for the quarter.

NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, underscored the company’s pivotal role in the ongoing technological revolution, stating, “The age of AI is in full steam, propelling a global shift to NVIDIA computing.” He further noted the incredible demand for Hopper GPUs, such as the H100, and the strong anticipation for the next-generation Blackwell architecture, which is now in full production.

The company’s profitability also saw substantial gains, with GAAP earnings per diluted share reaching $0.78, a 111% increase year-over-year. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share stood at $0.81, up 103% from the prior year. These figures highlight NVIDIA’s robust financial health amidst its rapid expansion.

NVIDIA’s estimated 80-90% market share in AI chips, coupled with its comprehensive CUDA software ecosystem, solidifies its formidable moat in the industry. The company’s strategic partnerships and global initiatives are further expanding AI infrastructure worldwide. Notable developments include the availability of NVIDIA Hopper H200-powered instances in major cloud services like AWS, CoreWeave, and Microsoft Azure, with Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure soon to follow. NVIDIA also played a key role in launching Denmark’s largest sovereign AI supercomputer, powered by 1,528 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs, and SoftBank Corp. is building Japan’s most powerful AI supercomputer with the NVIDIA Blackwell platform.
