NTT DATA Unveils Global Microsoft Cloud Unit to Propel AI-Driven Enterprise Transformation

TLDR: NTT DATA has launched a new global business unit dedicated to Microsoft Cloud, aiming to accelerate enterprise modernization, scale AI initiatives, and facilitate the adoption of secure, cloud-native infrastructure. This strategic move addresses the escalating demand for AI-powered solutions and robust cloud platforms in the current digital landscape.

LONDON – August 7, 2025 – NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and technology services, today announced the establishment of a new global business unit focused on Microsoft Cloud. This strategic initiative is designed to empower enterprises worldwide in their journey to modernize operations, scale artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and adopt secure, cloud-native infrastructure. The launch comes in response to the mounting demand for secure and scalable cloud-native platforms, particularly as organizations increasingly look to modernize their IT and data center operations to support the burgeoning field of generative AI.

The newly formed unit integrates NTT DATA’s extensive global capabilities across Microsoft Cloud, cybersecurity, data center services, and Agentic AI – a sophisticated form of intelligent automation utilizing multiple AI agents. This comprehensive approach aims to support digital infrastructure upgrades with unprecedented speed and scale.

Leading this pivotal new unit is Aishwarya Singh, Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud. The unit further strengthens NTT DATA’s existing strategic relationship with Microsoft, ensuring close alignment with Microsoft’s engineering roadmap to serve key sectors, including highly regulated industries. A significant focus for the unit is its collaboration with Microsoft on Sovereign Cloud specialization under the Microsoft AI Cloud partner programme, enabling clients to meet stringent compliance, sovereignty, and data residency requirements without compromising agility or performance.

Charlie Li, Head of Cloud and Security Services, NTT DATA, Inc., emphasized the collaborative vision, stating, “Our expanded collaboration with Microsoft reflects a shared commitment to helping clients tackle today’s complex business challenges with speed, scale and trust. Through our global business unit for Microsoft Cloud, we’re bringing together the strengths of both organizations to solve modern problems using advanced cloud and AI technologies, whether it’s modernizing operations, improving how people work and connect, or delivering more intelligent, secure and resilient digital experiences.”

A major area of focus for the unit is the scaling of Agentic AI through Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft 365 Copilot. NTT DATA has already observed robust enterprise demand since the recent launch of its Agentic AI Services for Hyperscaler AI Technologies, built on Azure and Azure AI Foundry, generating nearly 100 enterprise client opportunities in just 90 days. These services enable clients to orchestrate intelligent workflows, streamline voice communications, and deploy multi-agent AI systems seamlessly integrated into existing digital infrastructure. The technical backbone for these deployments includes data center platforms specifically designed to handle large-scale compute loads.
