NongHyup Bank Unveils Advanced Generative AI Platform to Revolutionize Financial Operations

Seoul, South Korea – NongHyup Bank has announced the successful launch of its cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform, a strategic initiative designed to profoundly transform its financial operations and elevate customer experiences. Developed in collaboration with LG CNS, the platform is set to revolutionize various aspects of the bank’s services and internal workflows.

The partnership with LG CNS, solidified by a contract signed on February 12, 2025, saw LG CNS selected as NongHyup Bank’s AI partner following rigorous technology evaluations. The core objective of this collaboration was to establish a robust generative AI model and implement AI-based intelligent corporate document management services, thereby boosting employee productivity and enhancing customer convenience.

One of the key benefits for NongHyup Bank employees is the ability to swiftly and accurately generate business reports, press releases, and marketing materials using AI agents and internal knowledge search functions. For instance, an employee can prompt the AI to ‘create materials for small business loan products,’ and the system will intelligently search internal corporate documents—including Word, PowerPoint, and PDF files—to produce tailored sales materials. The platform also facilitates AI services that match suitable corporate clients with specific financial products through big data analysis and can even create marketing images.

LG CNS’s ‘DAP GenAI platform’ was instrumental in building NongHyup Bank’s generative AI capabilities. This platform empowers users without specialized development knowledge to easily create AI agent-like services by integrating various generative AI models such as ExaOne, ChatGPT, Llama, and Claude.

Beyond internal efficiencies, the generative AI platform is poised to significantly enhance customer convenience by advancing AI banking services. This includes providing personalized financial product recommendations, a crucial step towards a more customer-centric banking experience. This launch is part of NongHyup Bank’s broader digital transformation, which has been ongoing since 2020, with plans to fully transition to a new technology-based cloud infrastructure system by February 2025 to deliver a super innovative digital bank.
