The Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship, a key component of New Mexico State University’s (NMSU) Arrowhead Center, has announced that applications are officially open for its Generative AI Fundraising Excellence Sprint. This innovative online accelerator program is specifically tailored for tech startups operating within New Mexico and the broader Borderplex region, or those planning to relocate there.
The six-week intensive program is set to run every Thursday from October 9 to November 13, 2025. It aims to empower early-stage founders by integrating generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into critical aspects of their fundraising journey. Participants will engage in structured weekly sessions that delve into practical applications of GenAI for developing compelling pitches, crafting data-driven narratives, and meticulously preparing for investor meetings.
Key benefits of the sprint include providing founders with advanced AI tools to streamline the capital-raising process. This encompasses automating tedious investor research, enabling highly personalized outreach strategies, and facilitating the creation of sophisticated, AI-powered pitch materials. The ultimate goal is to help entrepreneurs build investor-ready narratives and optimize their entire fundraising journey.
Dana Catron, interim director and CEO of Arrowhead Center, emphasized the program’s value, stating, “The GenAI Fundraising Excellence Sprint provides a clear framework for entrepreneurs to use AI to tell stronger stories, automate workflows, and confidently prepare for investor engagement.”
A crucial aspect of the program is its mentorship-driven approach, which connects participants with a network of seasoned founders, experienced funders, and leading AI experts. This ensures that startups receive invaluable feedback and industry-specific insights, fostering a robust learning environment.
To be eligible for the GenAI Fundraising Excellence Sprint, startups must meet specific criteria: they must be based in New Mexico or the Borderplex region, or demonstrate a clear intention to relocate to these areas. Furthermore, founders are required to commit to attending all weekly sessions and actively participate in the program, showcasing their dedication to tech-based entrepreneurship.
The program is offered free of charge to all selected participants, underscoring NMSU’s commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. The deadline for applications is September 26, 2025, with successful applicants slated to be notified by September 30, 2025.
