Netflix Pioneers Generative AI for Visual Effects, Accelerating Scene Production in Original Series

Sarandos emphasized that this advancement not only drastically reduced production costs but also made ambitious creative visions feasible within the show’s budget. He stated, ‘It’s an incredible opportunity to help creators make films and series better, not just cheaper,’ underscoring Netflix’s view of AI as an empowering tool for artists rather than a replacement for human creativity.

The project involved a collaborative effort between the series’ creators and Netflix’s in-house product innovation team, Eyeline Studios.
