Mutare and Carahsoft Forge Alliance to Enhance Public Sector Voice Security Against Evolving Cyber Threats

TLDR: Mutare, a leader in voice security, has partnered with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a prominent government IT solutions provider, to deliver advanced multi-layered voice security solutions to public sector agencies. This collaboration aims to protect critical government communications from sophisticated voice-based cyberattacks, including those leveraging Generative AI for vishing and deepfakes, by making Mutare’s Voice Traffic Filter (VTF) accessible through Carahsoft’s extensive network and government contracts.

CHICAGO and RESTON, Va. – August 12, 2025 – Mutare, a recognized authority in voice security, and Carahsoft Technology Corp., a trusted provider of IT solutions for the government, today announced a strategic partnership. This alliance is set to significantly bolster voice security for public sector agencies by making Mutare’s cutting-edge Voice Traffic Filter (VTF) solution widely available.

Under the terms of the agreement, Carahsoft will serve as Mutare’s Master Government Aggregator®. This role will facilitate the distribution of Mutare’s next-generation VTF through Carahsoft’s network of reseller partners and various key government contract vehicles, including NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 (ITES-SW2), National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint, The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS), and OMNIA Partners contracts.

Chuck French, Chief Growth Officer at Mutare, emphasized the urgency of this partnership, stating, “Public Sector agencies, entrusted with sensitive data and critical infrastructure, cannot afford to leave their voice channels exposed. Our Voice Traffic Filter is purpose-built to block malicious and nuisance calls at the network edge—before they reach a human target. This partnership with Carahsoft will enable Government agencies to have better access to our crucial solutions.”

The threat landscape has undergone a dramatic evolution, with a significant increase in voice phishing (vishing) attacks. Threat actors are now leveraging advanced technologies, including Generative AI, to clone voices, create convincing deepfake calls, and execute highly effective social engineering campaigns. Despite these escalating threats, many agencies remain unprepared or unaware of the existence of effective technical solutions for voice security.

Mutare’s VTF stands out as a powerful and practical defense against these sophisticated and evolving threats. Unlike traditional defenses that rely on human vigilance, the VTF operates as an automated, proactive, and precise technical control. It is designed to be immune to the social engineering techniques that can bypass human judgment, effectively blocking malicious and nuisance calls at the network edge before they can reach and compromise human targets.

We look forward to working with Mutare and our reseller partners to deliver these critical security solutions to the Public Sector.” This collaboration underscores a commitment to providing government agencies with the necessary tools to protect their voice communications in an increasingly complex cyber environment.
