MumbaiHacks 2025 Returns: India’s Premier Agentic AI Hackathon Offers ₹50 Lakhs in Rewards

TLDR: MumbaiHacks 2025, India’s leading Agentic AI hackathon, is set to challenge over 3,000 innovators with a prize pool of up to ₹50 lakhs. Organized by TEAM and Made in Mumbai, the event will take place on November 28-29, 2025, at NESCO Mumbai, focusing on developing autonomous AI solutions for Healthtech, Fintech, and Misinformation.

MumbaiHacks 2025, recognized as India’s premier Agentic AI hackathon, is making its highly anticipated return, inviting over 3,000 innovators to compete for cash and rewards totaling up to ₹50 lakhs. Organized by the Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) and Made in Mumbai, a non-profit developers community, this year’s edition promises to be the most ambitious yet, pushing India’s brightest tech minds to harness the transformative power of Agentic AI. The hackathon is scheduled for November 28-29, 2025, at NESCO Mumbai.

Following its achievement of the Guinness World Record for the Largest Gen AI Hackathon last year, MumbaiHacks 2025 is shifting its focus to the next frontier of artificial intelligence: Agentic AI. Unlike Generative AI, which creates content based on prompts, or traditional AI that follows pre-programmed rules, Agentic AI represents a paradigm shift towards autonomous systems. These systems are capable of perceiving their environment, making decisions, taking actions, and continuously learning without constant human intervention. The event aims to inspire participants to move beyond passive AI tools and create intelligent agents that can transform critical sectors.

Participants will tackle real-world problems across three vital sectors: Healthtech, Fintech, and Misinformation. The challenge is to build intelligent, autonomous models capable of providing innovative solutions in these areas. For instance, in the Misinformation track, teams might be tasked with creating an Agentic AI system that continuously scans multiple information sources, detects emerging misinformation, verifies facts, and provides contextual updates to the public during crises.

The competition will follow a rigorous two-round format. Round 1, the online shortlisting phase, is currently underway and runs until October 17, 2025. During this phase, teams are invited to submit their proposed solutions. The top teams will then be selected to participate in the final, in-person hackathon in Mumbai. The event is open to participants over 18 and is completely free to attend.
