Constellation Research CEO R “Ray” Wang highlighted the imperative for enterprises to re-evaluate traditional operational models to fully harness the power of artificial intelligence.
The new Copilots are designed to seamlessly integrate with existing workflows and critical business applications. For sales teams, the Copilot will connect with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and other leading CRM systems, providing sellers with AI-driven insights directly within their daily productivity tools. Key enhancements for sales include the Sales Agent, which automates Sales Development Representative (SDR) functions at scale, and Sales Chat, serving as a central hub for sales insights. Additionally, meeting and email experiences will be enriched with context-rich recommendations in Outlook and Teams, enabling smarter engagement and faster deal closures.
Service professionals will benefit from Microsoft 365 Copilot for Service, which supercharges CRM systems by automating workflows and surfacing trusted knowledge. This release introduces expanded connectivity with any CRM system, alongside inline email summary and drafting capabilities, boosting agent efficiency and customer satisfaction. A notable update in the 2025 release wave 2 is the integration with ServiceNow, allowing users to access integrated case information from multiple CRM sources without switching applications.
For finance teams, the new Copilot offerings aim to enhance efficiency by providing insights that support strategic decision-making and reduce manual tasks. These finance agents will connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, and other ERP systems, offering powerful out-of-the-box solutions built on Microsoft Copilot Studio. Future planned features for late 2025 to early 2026 include advanced troubleshooting for reconciliation issues and the ability to incorporate supplementary data for richer analysis.
