TLDR: Mews, a leading hospitality operating system, has acquired DataChat, a US-based generative AI analytics platform. This strategic move aims to accelerate Mews’ vision of ‘agentic hospitality,’ where intelligent AI agents autonomously manage hotel operations, optimize performance, and enhance guest experiences, leveraging DataChat’s natural language processing and data-driven automation capabilities.
DALLAS, October 28, 2025 – Mews, the innovative operating system for hospitality and shared spaces, today announced its acquisition of DataChat, a pioneering US-based artificial intelligence company. This significant acquisition, made through Mews’ venture arm, marks a pivotal step in the company’s ambitious mission to establish ‘fully agentic hospitality systems’ across the globe.
DataChat, initially launched in 2017 as a research project, specializes in natural language processing (NLP) and data-driven automation. Its advanced generative AI analytics platform empowers users to interact directly with their business data using natural language, facilitating the automatic generation of insights, workflows, and predictive models without requiring any coding expertise. Prior to this acquisition, DataChat had already made significant inroads in the retail, financial services, and telecommunications sectors.
Richard Valtr, Founder of Mews, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition, stating, ‘From bookings to check outs, every guest moment generates data – positioning hospitality among the world’s most insight-rich industries. The true opportunities lie in unlocking that data to power smarter, more intelligent operations.’ He added, ‘With DataChat’s exceptional team and technology, we’re moving beyond systems that simply assist hoteliers – toward intelligent platforms that evolve in real time, learning from every interaction. With this step, Mews is defining the future of agentic hospitality.’
The integration of DataChat’s technology is expected to significantly accelerate the development of both autonomous and semi-autonomous agents within the Mews ecosystem. These intelligent agents are designed to operate across a multitude of core hotel functions, including reservations, distribution, operations, revenue optimization, and guest experiences. The goal is to enable hotel companies to build more contextual and seamless experiences through automation.
Viken Eldemir, CEO of DataChat, commented on the synergy, ‘At DataChat, we’ve built technology that bridges the gap between human understanding and machine capability. By combining conversational interfaces with automated data reasoning, we’re going to be building agents that understand intent, reason across data sources and act autonomously, which will bring an entirely new level of intelligence and personalization to hospitality.’
