Major Organizations Embrace Hybrid AI-Human Work Models, Survey Reveals

TLDR: A recent global survey conducted by Everest Group for Concentrix Corporation indicates that 72% of large organizations favor a hybrid work model that integrates artificial intelligence with human collaboration, viewing AI as a complement to human capabilities rather than a replacement.

A new independent survey, commissioned by Concentrix Corporation and conducted by Everest Group, reveals a significant trend among large organizations globally: a strong preference for hybrid work models that seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence (AI) with human collaboration. The survey, which gathered insights from senior executives across 450 organizations with revenues exceeding $100 million, highlights a strategic shift towards leveraging AI for innovation and value creation.

The most striking finding indicates that 72% of surveyed organizations firmly believe that generative AI (GenAI) will enhance and complement human workers’ capabilities, rather than displacing them. This perspective underscores a widespread conviction that hybrid AI-human models offer the highest value in the evolving work landscape.

In response to intensifying competition and rising consumer expectations, companies are adopting an aggressive strategy focused on ‘smart transformation.’ This involves utilizing AI as a primary lever for innovation, modernizing technological infrastructure, and redesigning customer experiences for their brands. The survey found that 55% of organizations prioritize the implementation of new technologies, modernization, and leveraging AI, while 54% are focused on enhancing customer experiences. Notably, only 40% placed cost reduction and improving employee productivity at the top of their priorities, signaling a move beyond conservative, cost-centric approaches.

These figures suggest a commitment to long-term transformation over short-term efficiency gains. The trend towards AI-human collaboration is particularly pronounced in critical sectors such as banking, financial services, insurance, and healthcare across the globe, where value creation through this synergy is becoming a central element of organizational strategies.
