TLDR: Luma AI, a leader in generative AI, has partnered with the prestigious Clio Awards to launch a landmark AI Creative Challenge. This initiative aims to empower junior to mid-level creatives and recent graduates by providing access to Luma’s ‘Dream Machine’ platform to create 10-second vertical ads. Finalists will be recognized at the Clio Creative Summit in October 2025.

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Luma AI, a pioneering force in generative artificial intelligence, and The Clio Awards, a globally recognized program celebrating creative excellence for nearly seven decades, have officially announced a significant partnership. This collaboration introduces the ‘AI Challenge – Powered by Dream Machine,’ a creative brief designed to inspire and equip the next generation of creative professionals with cutting-edge AI video tools. The challenge offers a unique opportunity for participants to showcase their innovative ideas on The Clio Awards stage.

At the core of this initiative is Luma AI’s ‘Dream Machine,’ a breakthrough platform capable of instantly generating production-ready video content from text, image, or existing video prompts. This technology significantly enhances accessibility to high-quality video production, allowing creative teams to optimize budgets and explore a wider array of concepts. Dream Machine’s functionalities, including rapid A/B testing and seamless iteration of visual styles and narrative approaches, are revolutionizing content creation for advertisers and creators.

By joining forces with The Clio Awards, Luma AI extends these powerful capabilities to a broader creative community, underscoring both organizations’ dedication to fostering innovation. The Clio Awards has a long-standing tradition of honoring work that propels the industry forward, and this partnership exemplifies how AI can serve as a catalyst for enhanced creativity.

Caroline Ingeborn, Chief Operating Officer of Luma AI, emphasized the challenge’s objective, stating, “This AI Challenge is about giving the next generation of creative talent the opportunity to experiment with the latest AI tools and redefine the boundaries of visual storytelling.”

The challenge invites junior to mid-level creatives and recent graduates to submit 10-second vertical advertisements crafted using Dream Machine. Submissions will be judged on their storytelling prowess, brand integration, and the distinctive visual effects achievable only through AI. Participants will also benefit from access to the Luma AI Dream Lab, which offers best practice sessions and technical support to guide their creative journey.

Three finalists will receive six months of complimentary access to Dream Machine Unlimited, prominent recognition at the Clio Creative Summit in New York City on October 20, 2025, and an exclusive invitation to participate in a live roundtable discussion with Luma executives. Submissions are currently open and will be accepted until October 6, 2025, with free entry for members of the Clio community.
