Lovable, a rapidly growing Swedish ‘vibe coding’ startup, has announced a significant milestone, securing $200 million in a Series A funding round. This substantial investment, led by Accel, propels the company’s valuation to an impressive $1.8 billion, officially designating it as Europe’s ninth unicorn of 2025. The funding aims to bolster Lovable’s engineering team and accelerate its global expansion.
Founded just two years ago, Lovable has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about startups in the European tech scene. Its core offering revolves around developing advanced AI agents that empower users to design and build applications and websites without the need for traditional coding. The platform leverages cutting-edge AI models from prominent labs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, positioning Lovable at the forefront of the ‘vibe coding’ movement.
This latest funding round follows a successful $15 million pre-Series A raise just six months prior, in February. Beyond lead investor Accel, the Series A round saw participation from existing investors including 20VC, ByFounders, Creandum, Hummingbird, and Visionaries Club. Notably, several influential founders also contributed, such as Mati Staniszewski of ElevenLabs, Sebastian Siemiatkowski of Klarna, Victor Riparbelli and Steffen Tjerrild of Synthesia, and Nik Storonsky of Revolut through his QuantumLight fund.
Lovable’s growth trajectory has been remarkable. In June, a mere six months after launching its initial product, founder and CEO Anton Osika revealed that the company had achieved over $75 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). The platform currently boasts 2.3 million users who have collectively created more than 10 million projects. Its expanding roster of enterprise clients includes major names like Klarna, Hubspot, and Photoroom.

The startup’s rapid ascent has not gone unnoticed; last month, Lovable topped Sifted’s B2B SaaS Rising 100, a prestigious ranking of Europe’s most promising business-focused software companies valued under $1 billion. This investment underscores a broader trend in Europe, where investments in AI-native startups—companies focused on generative AI applications, AI agents, and specialized AI hardware—reached €3.04 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 61% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
