London School of Emerging Technology Launches Corporate AI and Cybersecurity Training in Bangladesh

TLDR: The London School of Emerging Technology (LSET) has introduced its Corporate Training Portal in Bangladesh, offering specialized enterprise-grade training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity. This initiative aims to address the critical skills gap in Bangladesh’s rapidly digitizing economy, empowering local businesses to enhance their digital capabilities and bolster cyber defenses.

The London School of Emerging Technology (LSET), a prominent UK-based institution specializing in applied technology education, has officially launched its Corporate Training Portal in Bangladesh. This strategic move is designed to provide comprehensive, enterprise-grade training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity, catering to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the nation’s burgeoning digital landscape.

The initiative comes at a crucial time for Bangladesh, which is experiencing rapid digital transformation and an increasing susceptibility to cyber threats. The training portal is intended to equip organizations with the necessary expertise to upskill their workforce, fortify their cyber defenses, and strategically navigate the complexities of the digital era. LSET officials confirmed that the portal is already undergoing pilot programs in various regions, including parts of Africa, the Middle East, and India, before its full-scale rollout in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh’s ambitious ‘Smart Bangladesh’ vision for 2041 underscores the nation’s commitment to digital advancement. However, this progress is contingent upon a skilled workforce capable of harnessing advanced technologies like AI and effectively combating cyber risks. A 2024 report by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) highlighted a significant challenge, revealing that over 72% of surveyed companies identified a shortage of AI and cybersecurity expertise as a primary impediment to innovation.

An LSET spokesperson emphasized the importance of this endeavor, stating, “Bangladesh is not just adopting technology; it’s leapfrogging in many sectors. But technology without skilled people is a liability. Our goal is to empower Bangladeshi companies to build the talent foundation needed for long-term digital success.” This sentiment aligns with global trends, as the World Economic Forum projects that 97 million new roles will emerge worldwide by 2026 due to advancements in AI and automation, underscoring the urgency for countries like Bangladesh to bridge their skills gaps.
