Leading Tech Firms Achieve Landmark ISO 42001 AI Management Certification

TLDR: Several prominent technology companies, including Coralogix, HERE Technologies, and Cytora, have recently secured the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the world’s first international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). This certification underscores a growing industry commitment to responsible, ethical, and transparent AI development and deployment, setting a new benchmark for AI governance and trust.

In a significant stride towards fostering responsible Artificial Intelligence, multiple technology leaders have announced their attainment of the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the inaugural international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). This standard, introduced in late 2023, provides a comprehensive framework for organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve their AI management systems, emphasizing critical pillars such as transparency, accountability, ethical use, regulatory compliance, bias mitigation, algorithmic transparency, human oversight, and robust governance.

Coralogix, a leading full-stack observability platform provider, announced on August 5, 2025, that it has achieved this accredited certification. The company is notably the first observability vendor and among the initial 100 global recipients to secure this standard. The certification encompasses the design, development, and operation of Coralogix’s agentic AI observability assistant, Olly, along with its AI Center and all AI-enabled observability capabilities. Ariel Assaraf, CEO at Coralogix, stated, “AI observability is not just a technical challenge, but an ethical and operational one. This certification validates the systems and safeguards that we’ve built to ensure our AI delivers value responsibly and reflects our belief in complete transparency and accountability.” The certification was achieved in partnership with BDO Israel Cyber Center, which provided guidance on AI cybersecurity methodology.

Similarly, HERE Technologies, a prominent location data and technology platform, became the first digital mapping and location technology company to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 certification, as announced on August 4, 2025. This milestone reinforces HERE’s dedication to responsible AI governance, particularly for its AI-powered solutions that enhance mapmaking, mobility experiences, and simulation workflows, including the HERE AI Assistant and HERE SceneXtract. Damandeep Kochhar, EVP, Chief Platform & Technology Officer at HERE Technologies, highlighted that the certification validates their structured approach to robust governance and risk management across the AI lifecycle, ensuring transparency, explainability, and fairness in AI systems, and protecting sensitive location data.

Adding to the list, Cytora, a leading digital risk processing platform, also attained the ISO/IEC 42001 certification on August 4, 2025, positioning itself among the pioneering companies worldwide to achieve this AI governance standard. This collective movement by industry players signifies a proactive approach to addressing the complex ethical and operational challenges associated with AI development and deployment. The ISO 42001 certification is increasingly seen as a vital assurance for customers and partners, validating that AI management systems are not only effective but also built on a foundation of governance and trust, preparing these companies for a future where such certifications may become mandatory.
