TLDR: Swiss CleanTech startup Jaipur Robotics has successfully secured an additional €161,000 in funding from Venture Kick. This investment will accelerate the deployment of their AI-powered automation solutions, designed to enhance efficiency and reduce significant operational losses in waste-to-energy plants by optimizing waste handling and detection of hazardous materials.
Manno, Switzerland – Jaipur Robotics, an innovative Swiss CleanTech startup, announced today that it has secured an additional €161,000 in funding from Venture Kick. This latest capital injection is earmarked to propel the company’s mission of bringing intelligent automation to the global waste-to-energy sector, addressing critical inefficiencies and substantial financial losses.
Founded in 2024 by CEO Ermes Zamboni and CTO Nikhil Prakash, Jaipur Robotics leverages their combined expertise in engineering and deep learning from ETH Zurich to tackle long-standing challenges in waste management. The waste-to-energy (WtE) industry, while crucial for converting non-recyclable waste into energy, is plagued by operational hurdles. Manual waste handling, inefficient sorting, and the undetected presence of hazardous materials lead to frequent unplanned shutdowns, significant energy losses, and annual operating costs that can soar up to €3.6 million per plant. The sector also grapples with labor shortages and the unpredictable nature of incoming waste streams.
Jaipur Robotics’ solution is a sophisticated SaaS platform powered by patent-pending AI vision technology. This cutting-edge system is purpose-built for waste-to-energy plants, offering real-time detection of oversized or hazardous items, precise calorific mapping for optimal waste mixing, and automated alerts for crane operators. By automating and digitizing plant management, the system transforms chaotic waste streams into actionable operational decisions, thereby significantly enhancing overall efficiency, reducing emissions, and preventing costly downtime.
Ermes Zamboni, CEO of Jaipur Robotics, emphasized the impact of the funding, stating, “Venture Kick has been instrumental in accelerating our growth – providing both funding and strategic validation through its prestigious label. The support helped us refine our product strategy and IP roadmap as we bring AI-powered automation to waste-to-energy plants. This recognition strengthens our credibility as we scale internationally to tackle major inefficiencies in the waste industry.”
