Ingram Micro Unveils Advanced AI Sales Assistant Powered by Google Gemini

TLDR: Ingram Micro has launched its first enterprise-grade AI Agent, the Sales Briefing Assistant, developed within its Xvantage AI Factory and leveraging Google’s Gemini large language models. This tool aims to provide sales teams with instant, in-depth intelligence, enhancing decision-making, streamlining workflows, and accelerating customer engagement by offering real-time market insights, sales signals, and actionable recommendations.

Ingram Micro Holding Corporation has announced a significant leap in its artificial intelligence journey with the introduction of its first enterprise-grade AI Agent, the Sales Briefing Assistant. Developed within the company’s proprietary Ingram Micro Xvantage AI Factory, this innovative tool is powered by Google’s Gemini large language models (LLMs) and integrates with over 400 existing AI models within Ingram Micro’s systems.

The Sales Briefing Assistant is designed to serve as a smart digital companion for Ingram Micro’s global sales teams. Its core function is to provide instant, in-depth intelligence, thereby accelerating customer growth opportunities. The AI agent achieves this by compiling real-time market insights, sales signals, and actionable recommendations into a single, intelligent briefing. This capability is expected to redefine enterprise sales enablement by enhancing decision-making, streamlining workflows, and accelerating customer engagement.

Key functionalities of the Sales Briefing Assistant include the ability to auto-build pre-call briefs, summarizing recent account activity, open tickets, contracts, pricing bands, inventory signals, and key stakeholders. It can also summarize lengthy email threads and meetings, suggesting next steps and follow-ups. Furthermore, the assistant can pull competitive intelligence, promotions, and partner program updates from internal knowledge bases and distributor feeds, and surface critical risk flags such as credit holds, supply constraints, or fulfillment delays before a sales call. It also recommends relevant talk tracks and collateral based on industry, persona, and sales stage, and can log notes directly into CRM systems with a clean structure.

Paul Bay, CEO of Ingram Micro, emphasized the strategic importance of this development, stating, “Our Xvantage platform and AI Factory operating model are enabling us to innovate new, faster, and better ways to create, capture, and amplify value for our team and customers. This is about using AI to deepen our understanding and engagement, driving shared success in a rapidly evolving market.”

Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer at Google Cloud, highlighted the successful collaboration, noting that “Teams at Ingram Micro are already seeing firsthand the value that AI agents can add.” He added that Google Cloud AI is powering transformative results through their growing partnership.

Sanjib Sahoo, President of Ingram Micro’s Global Platform Group, described the initiative as a fundamental shift towards an AI-powered value chain, moving the company from reactive order fulfillment to proactive value creation. He stated, “Our AI-first strategy, delivered through Xvantage and the AI Factory model, merges real-time intelligence, scalable automation, and human ingenuity to unlock new growth opportunities.”
