Infosys Inaugurates Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology Center in Hubballi, Bolstering Regional Tech Growth

Hubballi, India – Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, officially inaugurated its state-of-the-art Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Centre in Karnataka on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. This strategic expansion is a significant step in establishing Hubballi as a pivotal technology hub for the company, specializing in cutting-edge digital solutions.

The new center is an integral part of ‘Infosys Living Labs,’ a global network comprising over 12 established innovation centers designed to empower clients in accelerating innovation and harnessing emerging technologies to future-proof their businesses. The Hubballi facility will focus on delivering advanced digital solutions across key domains including Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, engineering services, SAP, and space technology. It is poised to serve a diverse range of global industries, including manufacturing, financial services, retail, and healthcare.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Shri M B Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Large & Medium Industries, Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, and Shri Priyank Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology & Biotechnology, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka. Senior Infosys leaders, such as Executive Vice President Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, were also in attendance.

This development has significantly boosted the local economy and talent pool, with the Hubballi Development Centre now employing over 1,000 individuals. Minister M B Patil expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to see Infosys expanding its presence in North Karnataka by surpassing 1,000 employees at its Hubballi Development Center. This milestone not only creates vital employment opportunities but also strengthens industry-academia collaboration, paving the way for local talent to thrive in emerging domains like AI and cybersecurity.” He further encouraged Infosys to explore expansion opportunities in other districts of North Karnataka to further boost regional growth and inclusivity.
