This pioneering competition is designed to engage undergraduate students, postgraduate students, PhD scholars, researchers, and young professionals from academic and policy institutions nationwide in crafting future policies for Generative AI. The announcement, made on October 15, 2025, emphasizes the critical need to reimagine policy in an era increasingly shaped by advanced artificial intelligence.
The challenge aims to provide a dynamic platform for participants to contribute to India’s policy approach to Generative AI and responsible technology governance. Competition Structure and Key Dates: The first round of the competition will be conducted virtually during the first week of November 2025. Following this, the final round is scheduled for November 22, 2025, and will take place at the Kautilya School of Public Policy in Hyderabad.
Eligibility and Team Formation: Participants must be undergraduate or postgraduate students, PhD scholars, researchers, or young professionals from academic and policy institutions across India. Teams are required to consist of 2 or 3 members, all from the same discipline (e.g., Law, Policy, Research, Technology, Economics) and the same institution and school. Interdisciplinary teams are not permitted, ensuring focused expertise within each submission.
