Mumbai, October 28, 2025 – Recognizing the escalating demand for leaders capable of translating artificial intelligence innovation into strategic business value, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), ranked 3rd by the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2024, has partnered with Emeritus to introduce a pioneering ‘AI Officer Programme’. This executive education initiative, which includes an online certificate course by Kellogg Executive Education, is designed to cultivate future-ready AI leaders.
The programme addresses a critical industry need, as highlighted by the EY CEO Outlook 2025 and EY–NASSCOM AI Adoption Index 2024, which indicate that 86% of Indian CEOs plan to prioritize emerging technologies in the next 12 months, and 65% of Indian enterprises already possess AI strategies. The ‘AI Officer Programme’ aims to bridge the gap between AI pilot projects and enterprise-wide adoption, enabling professionals to drive comprehensive AI transformation.
Programme Highlights and Curriculum:
Spanning 30 weeks, the 100% online programme is structured to provide a holistic and practical learning journey. The curriculum features over 120 video lectures, complemented by nine live online sessions led by IIM Kozhikode faculty and industry experts. Additionally, masterclasses delivered by Kellogg Executive Education faculty will ensure a blend of global perspectives and India-specific relevance. Participants will engage with real-world AI applications, including Generative AI and Agentic AI, gaining hands-on experience through an industry-relevant Capstone Project. A key outcome will be the creation of a personalized AI Transformation Playbook, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical execution. The programme emphasizes strategic implementation and business impact, making prior coding knowledge unnecessary.
Target Audience and Eligibility:
The ‘AI Officer Programme’ is tailored for mid to senior-level professionals, including CXOs, technology leaders, strategic business leaders, and data science/analytics professionals aspiring to transition into strategic leadership roles. Eligible candidates must hold a graduate or diploma degree with a minimum of seven years of work experience.
Certification and Fees:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from IIM Kozhikode. Those who achieve a score of above 80% will also earn a verified digital certificate from Kellogg Executive Education, USA. The programme fee is INR 3,15,000 + GST, with online classes scheduled to commence on December 30, 2025.
