ieso Shifts Full Focus to AI-Powered Mental Healthcare Following UK Telecare Business Sale

TLDR: ieso, a leader in digital mental health, has completed the sale of its UK telecare services business to Mindler, a European digital therapy provider. This strategic divestiture allows ieso to concentrate entirely on scaling its clinical-grade generative AI platform, Velora, aimed at delivering effective and personalized mental health support globally, with an immediate focus on the US market.

CAMBRIDGE, England & BOSTON – ieso, a prominent entity in evidence-based digital mental health, announced today the successful divestiture of its UK telecare services business to Mindler, a leading pan-European digital therapy provider. This strategic move marks a pivotal shift for ieso, enabling it to dedicate its full resources to advancing its AI-powered mental healthcare initiatives.

The acquisition by Mindler specifically encompasses ieso’s NHS-facing care operations in the UK, including the provision of typed and video therapy services. The parent company, ieso Digital Health Limited, will maintain its independence and continue to operate under the ieso brand, now with a sharpened focus on its core mission.

Kent Tangen, CEO at ieso, emphasized the significance of this transition, stating, “We’re proud to have supported thousands of lives through ieso’s UK telecare services. That legacy will always be a part of who we are. With those operations now in excellent hands at Mindler, ieso is committed to building the future we’ve long envisioned: delivering safe, effective AI-powered mental healthcare at scale. Our immediate focus is in the US, but our mission is global.” Tangen further highlighted the rapid evolution of the market, adding, “As AI adoption accelerates, mental health is emerging as one of its most urgent and natural use cases. The market is moving fast, and so are we.”

The company’s immediate priority is the expansion and scaling of its clinical-grade generative AI platform, Velora. This next-generation program is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing clinical workflows, providing safe, effective, and personalized mental health support. Velora’s development is backed by over a decade of extensive research and real-world data, with its therapeutic outcomes reportedly on par with human-delivered care. ieso aims to increase access to scalable mental health support, initially targeting the US market before expanding its global reach.
