These innovations are specifically designed to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation, unlocking significant productivity gains across development, operations, and various business workflows. The announcements underscore IBM’s commitment to simplifying AI adoption and integration within complex hybrid cloud environments.
Among the key highlights is the expansion of watsonx Orchestrate, a core component of IBM’s agentic AI framework. This offering now boasts over 500 tools and provides customizable, domain-specific agents from IBM and its partners. Enhancements include AgentOps, a built-in observability and governance layer that ensures full lifecycle transparency with real-time monitoring and policy-based controls, crucial for assessing agent reliability. watsonx Orchestrate is designed to be tool-agnostic, facilitating scalable deployment and governance of AI agents across diverse environments.
IBM also introduced Project infragraph, a new capability within the HashiCorp Cloud Platform, expected to enter private beta in December 2025. This project aims to provide a unified control plane for infrastructure, security, and applications, simplifying hybrid operations and moving towards intelligent infrastructure. Project Bob is engineered to fundamentally transform the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by working alongside developers to write, test, upgrade, and secure software. It leverages and orchestrates leading large language models (LLMs) such as Anthropic Claude, Mistral AI, Llama, and IBM Granite. Internal IBM trials have reportedly shown an average 45% productivity boost for developers using Project Bob.
A pivotal announcement was the strategic partnership with Anthropic, integrating their powerful Claude LLMs directly into select IBM software products, starting with Project Bob. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of enterprise-ready AI, delivering measurable productivity gains while embedding security, governance, and cost controls directly into the software development lifecycle. IBM has also co-created a first-of-its-kind guide, verified by Anthropic, on ‘Architecting Secure Enterprise AI Agents with MCP,’ which outlines a structured approach to designing, deploying, and managing enterprise AI agents.
