IBM and nybl Forge AI Alliance to Revolutionize Industrial Operations with watsonx and n.vision

TLDR: IBM and nybl have announced a strategic partnership to integrate IBM’s watsonx AI platform, including watsonx.governance and Maximo Application Suite, with nybl’s n.vision platform. This collaboration aims to accelerate AI adoption in critical infrastructure sectors like energy, utilities, and industrial operations, focusing on enhancing operational resilience, efficiency, and safety through advanced AI-driven solutions.

Dubai, UAE – October 2, 2025 – IBM, a global leader in hybrid cloud, AI, and consulting, and nybl, a science-based AI company and IBM Business Partner, have officially announced a significant collaboration aimed at transforming critical infrastructure sectors. This strategic alliance will see the integration of IBM’s comprehensive watsonx portfolio of AI products, notably watsonx.governance and the IBM Maximo Application Suite, with nybl’s specialized n.vision platform. The partnership is designed to accelerate the adoption of AI across vital industries such as energy, utilities, and general industrial operations, promising enhanced operational resilience, improved efficiency, and substantial business value.

At the heart of this collaboration is nybl’s n.vision platform, which will now be seamlessly integrated with IBM’s watsonx AI and data platform. This integration is underpinned by watsonx.governance, ensuring robust AI governance capabilities that provide transparency, compliance, and comprehensive lifecycle AI management. The combined solution will also leverage IBM Maximo Visual Inspection (MVI) to embed AI-driven visual intelligence directly into industrial workflows.

nybl’s n.vision platform is engineered to process vast quantities of imagery data, sourced from drones and cameras, to detect faults, predict potential equipment failures, and recommend prescriptive actions. This proactive approach is crucial for avoiding unplanned downtime and streamlining workflows by automating quality checks and defect detection, thereby maintaining high operational standards. The platform itself combines nybl’s proprietary AI models with a high-performance data engine and an intuitive user interface. Its key modules include ‘Director,’ which facilitates real-time analytics and decision-making, and ‘Stage,’ designed to visualize insights for faster, more informed operational responses.

Executives from both companies expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. Zaidoun Arbad, VP – Ecosystem, IBM Middle East and Africa, stated, “At IBM, we believe the future of industry is AI-powered, and our watsonx platform is built to help clients scale trustworthy AI across their business. By combining nybl’s domain-specific innovation with IBM’s enterprise AI capabilities, including Maximo and watsonx, we are enabling clients to transform operations and make smarter decisions in real time.”

Noor Alnahhas, founder and CEO of nybl and a member of Dubai’s official AI and Ethics Advisory Board, emphasized the ethical foundation of their work: “At nybl, we build AI grounded in science and driven by a commitment to ethical impact. This collaboration with IBM significantly amplifies our ability to scale that impact globally, combining nybl’s domain-specific innovation with IBM’s enterprise-grade platforms to deliver real, measurable value where it’s needed most.”
