HPE Unveils Enhanced AI Computing Portfolio with NVIDIA Blackwell Integration for Enterprise Innovation

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled substantial advancements to its NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE portfolio, marking a pivotal step in enabling enterprises to accelerate innovation across generative, agentic, and physical AI domains. The announcement includes the introduction of new HPE ProLiant Compute servers featuring NVIDIA Blackwell accelerated computing, alongside deeper integration with NVIDIA AI Enterprise and the latest NVIDIA AI models and Blueprints within HPE Private Cloud AI.

These strategic developments aim to simplify the deployment of AI applications for developers and accelerate AI production for businesses of all sizes. The new HPE ProLiant Compute servers, powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, are set to be available time-to-market, providing robust infrastructure for demanding AI workloads.

Key integrations include support for NVIDIA Nemotron models, specifically designed for agentic AI, and the Cosmos Reason vision language model (VLM), tailored for physical AI and robotics applications. Additionally, the portfolio will incorporate the NVIDIA Blueprint for Video Search and Summarization (VSS 2.4), enabling the creation of advanced video analytics AI agents capable of extracting valuable insights from vast video datasets.

Antonio Neri, President and Chief Executive Officer of HPE, emphasized the critical role of infrastructure in AI adoption, stating, “Generative, agentic and physical AI have the potential to transform global productivity and create lasting societal change, but AI is only as good as the infrastructure and data behind it.” He added, “Organizations need the data, intelligence and vision to capture the AI opportunity and this makes getting the right IT foundation essential. HPE and NVIDIA are delivering the most comprehensive approach, joining industry-leading AI infrastructure and services to enable organizations to realize their ambitions and deliver sustainable business value.”

Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaborative effort: “We are entering a new industrial era — one defined by the ability to generate intelligence at scale. Together, HPE and NVIDIA are delivering full-stack AI factory infrastructure to drive this transformation, empowering enterprises to harness their data and accelerate innovation with unprecedented speed and precision.”

The next generation of HPE Private Cloud AI, co-developed with NVIDIA as a turnkey AI factory solution, will support NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. This offering is designed for seamless scalability across GPU generations, featuring air-gapped management and enterprise multi-tenancy. HPE Private Cloud AI is uniquely engineered to facilitate the fastest deployment of NVIDIA NIM microservices for the latest AI models and NVIDIA Blueprints, accessible through HPE AI Essentials.

Specific server configurations include the HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 server, supporting up to two NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs in a 2U air-cooled form factor, ideal for data centers managing increasing AI demands. The HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 server, supporting up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 GPUs in a 4U form factor, is slated to ship in September 2025. These servers boast multi-layered security, including HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 7 Silicon Root of Trust, a secure enclave for tamper-resistant protection, and quantum-resistant firmware signing. Furthermore, centralized, cloud-native lifecycle automation via HPE Compute Ops Management is projected to reduce IT hours spent on server management by up to 75% and downtime by 4.8 hours per server annually.
