Hitachi Vantara Introduces iQ Studio: A New Platform to Streamline Enterprise AI Agent Development and Governance

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – November 5, 2025 – Hitachi Vantara, a prominent subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. specializing in data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management, today announced the unveiling of Hitachi iQ Studio. This new addition to the Hitachi iQ portfolio of AI solutions is poised to revolutionize how enterprises approach artificial intelligence, offering a comprehensive platform for building, deploying, and managing AI agents and applications at an unprecedented scale.

Hitachi iQ Studio is engineered as a turnkey integration hub, featuring intuitive no-code and low-code agent builders. It comes equipped with a rich library of industrial AI solution templates, facilitating rapid prototyping and production across diverse data environments. This design aims to significantly shorten the time-to-value for AI initiatives, allowing organizations to operationalize their AI solutions faster while maintaining stringent control over their data and models.

The platform is built upon the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, incorporating pre-integrated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines. These pipelines are crucial for delivering AI-ready data to agentic AI workloads, ensuring intelligent and context-aware responses. By combining RAG pipelines with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Hitachi iQ Studio provides fast data access, automation, and ready-to-use algorithms, making advanced AI accessible even for companies without deep in-house technical expertise.

Hitachi Vantara developed iQ Studio to tackle significant barriers in AI adoption. Industry reports, such as one by Boston Consulting Group, indicate that 74% of companies struggle to operationalize AI and achieve lasting business impact. Furthermore, a separate study found that 62% of organizations identify a lack of data governance as a primary challenge hindering AI initiatives. Hitachi iQ Studio directly addresses these gaps by offering a simpler, more secure, compliant, and cost-effective way to design and deploy AI solutions, distinguishing itself from fragmented point tools or cloud-only offerings by providing a fully governed, on-premises, and sovereign AI environment.
